The Festival celebrates the Montreal  375th anniversary and the 50th anniversary of the Christian Pavilion at Expo`67

Call for participation:

• Photographs of rituals exhibit: capture with your camera a ritual in your community; enter the date, location, community name and photographer's name. The best photos will get prizes.
  • "Living Memory": Meet people who "lived" the Christian Pavilion experience at Expo`67 - with the exclusive participation of Father Irénée Beaubien, s.j., initiator of the Christian Pavilion at Expo`67, and founder of the Canadian Center for Ecumenism. We are searching for a several persons who can describe their experience at the Christian Pavilion at Expo'67. If you have objects and photographs of the Christian Pavilion please let us know. We wish very much to exhibit them.
  • You are invited to hold a kiosk.

The Great Ecumenical Celebration 2017 for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity

Our Father is calling us to come together as His children and celebrate unity in one Lord. Please consider joining us as we celebrate the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity for the coming year of 2017. We can all benefit from sharing our own understandings of what it is to be Christian by worshiping together. Ecumenism is our Father's way of welcoming us all to His table for a meal of love, joy and respect for each other. Once again, please consider joining us at

St. John's Lutheran Church on January 21st, 2017 at 2 p.m.

The church is located at 3594 Jeanne Mance (Corner of Prince Arthur). By Métro the green line stop is Place des Arts/ by orange line the stop is Sherbrooke. By bus, #80 & #129 stop at the corner of Ave. Du Parc & Prince Arthur.

The 3rd Global Conference on World’s Religions after September 11: From Faith to Interfaith

is taking place on September 15, 2016, at Palais des Congrès de Montréal

This momentous event aims to remind mankind of the positive and uniting power of religion by bringing together spiritual thought leaders from around the world. The distinguished speakers will discuss critical issues of faith in today's world and announce a Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the World's Religions.

Among the confirmed speakers are:

• Gregory Baum (Emeritus Professor, McGill University, Montreal)


• Deepak Chopra (expert in the field of mind-body healing, a world-renowned speaker and author)

• Phil Fontaine (Special Advisor of the Royal Bank of Canada)


• Susannah Heschel (Professor of Jewish Studies at Dartmouth College)

Montreal’s 6th Annual Interfaith EcoAction Day

Volunteers plan to put their faith into action in Park Extension

The Christian-Jewish Dialogue of Montreal will hold their 6^th Annual Interfaith EcoAction Day on May 23, 2016.  Volunteers from various faith traditions will gather in Park Extension to green and clean the neighbourhood.

Organizer Catherine Jarvis said, “We want to show the power of faith in our community to make a positive difference. Volunteers who work together come to know that although faith traditions may vary, we have much in common including the desire to live in healthy and safe communities.” This event is organized in collaboration with the Christian Jewish Dialogue of Montreal, Concordia Multi-faith Chaplaincy, Canadian Centre for Ecumenism, Green Churches Network, TEVA Quebec, Purple Hope Project, Al-Madinah Centre, the Borough of Villeray St-Michel Parc-Extension, and Eco-quartier Parc-Extension.

These EcoAction Events have been organized within local Montreal neighborhoods annually for the past five years as a practical expression of faith in action. People of different faiths come together to make a difference in the community and to express the common belief that we are all entrusted with the care of the Earth. Student volunteers, along with Jewish, Christian, Sikh, and Muslim community members, work together for common good and in support of common values.   Past events have been held in Cote-des-Neiges, Notre-Dame-de Grace, Shaughnessy Village, St Henri, and Maisonneuve-Rosemont.
