The Interreligious Forum for Peace

The Interreligious Forum for Peace,
a new program of the
Canadian Centre for Ecumenism,
invites you to the Art Festival
"Peace Now: The Beauty of Diversity"
which will be held in Montreal
from October 25th to October 28th
at The Dominican Convent,
2715 Chemin de la Côte Ste-Catherine, H3T 1B6.

The Festival will be a unique opportunity to learn about dialogue, to meet and to discover the artistic and spiritual richness often hidden behind the walls of our sacred places. The program includes an academic symposium on interfaith dialogue and peace-building, a concert of sacred music, practical workshops, an exhibition and kiosks. In addition to artistic sharing, the Festival will be an open space for dialogue on our beliefs and the social implications that flow from them; a place of networking and solidarity.

Dialogue at the Edges

INVITATION

The Canadian Council of Churches (CCC) is coordinating a Canadian Forum on Inter-Church Dialogues in partnership with the Faith and Witness Commission of the CCC, the Canadian Centre for Ecumenism  and the Prairie Centre for Ecumenism (PCE) in Saskatoon to take place on 12-13 October, 2018, in Montreal, QC at the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Montreal (2000 Sherbrooke St W, Montreal).

The event is entitled: Dialogue at the Edges / Dialogue à la fin pointe.

The Canadian Forum on Inter-Church Dialogues brings together delegates on dialogues from a cross-section of Christian churches to discuss the prospects and questions surrounding ecumenical dialogue both in Canada and abroad. The Forum is also open to people interested in learning more about ecumenism.

The keynote speakers for this event are: The Rev. Canon Dr. Alyson Barnett-Cowan and The Most Reverend Noël Simard. Evening keynote addresses are free and open to the public, and have simultaneous translation in English and French. In addition to the keynote speakers, there will be several panel discussions and workshops (see attached draft program).
